Route 1
We leave Cadiar with a 7km climb onto the Sierra Contraviesa followed by a 12km run along the ridge before dropping down to Ugijar for a coffee. The 2nd half of the ride we climb the other side of the valley before dropping back into Cadiar.
Route 2
We head out west along the valley via Torvizcon before heading south on a 15km climb to the cork forest where a well deserved coffee stop is an option. We then work our way along the ridge road for 13km before an amazing 10km descent back into Cadiar.
Route 3
A big day today leaving Cadiar to the east on a brand new, perfectly surfaced road out to Cherin. We then climb for 5km before the incredibly long and fast drop to Berja and then Adra on the coast. After Adra we have 14km of undulating coast road before we tackle the cat 1 puerto de Albondon followed by a 10km drop into Cadiar.
Route 4
An easyish day today and a bit of a treat. We keep it steady, which helps keep you strong for the rest of the week, with a ride to the coast. We gently lose height finishing at the sea side resort of Salobreña with a nice lunch on the beach at our favourite restaurant and a lift home in the van.
Route 5
Another day heading east down the valley but then turning north into the mountains via Almeria's highest village, Bayarcal. We then work our way across the valley for coffee in Laroles. The journey back to Cadiar is a mixture of ups and downs followed by an amazing 6km descent into Cadiar.
Route 6
Today is not the longest day but a good test for the last day. After heading west down the valley we start the 15km climb we call the Mines, with a serious kick in the last 2 km. We can then pop into Trevelez, Spain's highest village or work our way back to Cadiar finishing with a great 6km descent.
